The Accounting Clerk will support the financial operations of the company by performing a variety of routine accounting tasks. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing receivables, and ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record daily customer payments, including checks wire transfers.
• Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices and monthly statements.
• Monitor aging reports and perform collection calls or send follow-up emails for overdue accounts.
• Research and resolve any billing discrepancies or payment irregularities.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure internal records match bank statements.
• Identify and investigate any unexplained variances or outstanding transactions.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries to correct errors or record bank fees and interest.
• Manage and process driver debit claims for contractor chargebacks.
• Review and verify independent contractor (IC) chargeback documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure all significant contractor-related financial adjustments are recorded.
• Perform other related duties and additional tasks as assigned by management to meet the evolving needs of the department.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• High level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
  
   

The expected starting pay range for this position is $20.33 - $27.11 per hour. Offers determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
