Summary

Appraisal Desk Coordinator will order, receive and track all appraisal documents to assure that compliance is maintained.

Essential Job Functions:

• Order, Assign, process and track appraisal orders which includes pulling FHA case numbers and using the VA Portal to assign VA case ID.
• Process and verify all documents required to place the appraisal order via Mercury Network Software and ensuring that loan documentation is complete.
• Contact AMC's, Fee Panel Appraisers and Loan Teams as needed for follow up via Mercury Network, phone and/or email.
• Coordinate appraisal transfers both to and from other lenders.
• Set up new Loan Officers, Processors, Wholesale Brokers for ordering and receiving notifications in Mercury Network.
• QC Review incoming Appraisal Reports.
• Meet crucial deadlines requested.
• Obtain quotes for Loan Teams from appropriate vendors.
• Upload and deliver completed reports to the appropriate Loan Teams.
• Perform any duties/activities assigned by management. Including attending training classes as needed and maintain the confidentiality of the customers.
• Respond to high volume of emails daily regarding order status, compliance questions, guidelines, revisions.
• Stamp and submit all invoices to accounting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Bachelor's degree, preferred
• 1-3 years of real estate appraisal experience, preferred
• 1-3 years of mortgage experience, preferred
• Must have and understanding of mortgage rules and regulations, appraisal guidelines and real estate terminology
• Must have and display good ethics and professionalism
• Must possess good communication, both oral and written, attention to detail
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills
• Good working knowledge of computers and software such as: Microsoft excel, office, and word

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard.
• Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally bending at the waist, climbing, kneeling, and stooping for installation of hardware and more.
• Hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
