Description As a Security Researcher at Blockaid, you will be responsible for leading in-depth research into emerging blockchain threats and vulnerabilities and developing real-time detection and mitigation capabilities in close collaboration with our engineering and product teams. Your Chain of Impact: Drive deep technical research into blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and decentralized applications to uncover novel threats. Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, exploits, and attack vectors across Web3 ecosystems. Build detectors, heuristics, and models; collaborate with engineering to integrate them into our real-time on-chain exploit detection system. Design PoC exploits and simulations to validate hypotheses and harden detections. Continuously track emerging threats, technologies, and best practices and translate insights into platform improvements. Requirements Your Chain of Strengths: 5+ years in security research with a strong track record of practical results. 3+ years of hands-on Python, including building research tooling and prototypes. Advanced SQL skills; comfortable writing complex queries on large datasets. Deep understanding of network protocols and traffic analysis. Analytical problem-solver with pattern-finding instincts and clear written/verbal communication. Bonus: Practical blockchain/smart contract security experience, relevant cryptography fundamentals, and comfort solving data-driven challenges.
