Job Description

The Data Architect will provide leadership and expertise in enterprise-wide Data Quality Management, Data Stewardship, Data Resource Management, and Data Administration at a large-scale organization. This role will be instrumental in defining and developing data architecture solutions that align with the organizations strategic technology roadmap while ensuring industry best practices and standards are met. The individual will collaborate across teams to manage complex enterprise-wide data architecture concerns and improve processes for data management, quality, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead enterprise-wide Data Quality Management, Data Resource Management, Data Stewardship, and Data Administration programs.
  2. Provide leadership in defining and implementing enterprise data architecture solutions that align with emerging industry trends and technology roadmaps.
  3. Develop and maintain Data Management Process Framework and Capability Maturity Model.
  4. Execute Data Management Capability Maturity Assessment for specific functional areas of the business.
  5. Lead the development of enterprise information architecture including Data Architecture Process Standards, Metadata Management Infrastructure Strategy, and Master Data Hub Technology Architecture.
  6. Collaborate with Global Shared Service Governance teams to institutionalize policy, standards, and project-related architectural deliverables.
  7. Facilitate agreement on Enterprise Architecture definitions with Global Shared Service partners.
  8. Develop value-added, strategic solutions and share best practices throughout the organization and the architectural community.
  9. Communicate regularly with team members and stakeholders to keep them apprised of data architecture status and relevant issues affecting clients and business areas.
  10. Assist in Data Architecture standardization and resolve complex issues related to enterprise-wide data architecture concerns.
  11. Provide leadership in ensuring alignment of data management solutions with business information needs.
  12. Architect solutions that support key areas such as Data Modeling, Metadata Management, and Data Warehouse design and implementation.
Technical Qualifications:
  1. Proficiency in Data Modeling and Physical Database Design.
  2. Expertise in RDBMS and database tuning.
  3. SQL and PL/SQL experience.
  4. Familiarity with tools such as ERWin, ETL (Informatica PowerCenter), and Data Profiling tools.
  5. Knowledge of Master Data Hub architecture, data design, and implementation.
  6. Experience with ERP Data Architecture, Data Warehouse architecture, and data design.
  7. Proven experience in metadata management, design, and integration.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Experience in leadership roles in Data Quality Management, Data Stewardship, and Data Administration programs in a large company.
  2. Strong background in process improvement frameworks like SEI CMMI.
  3. Experience in Computer Systems Validation and Software Quality Assurance.
  4. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) to communicate data architecture strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with a business-focused mindset.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  7. Experience with Data Warehouse and ERP systems.
  8. Ability to collaborate in a matrix-managed environment and build cross-functional relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT program development, including full system development life cycle (analysis, design, coding, testing, performance tuning, and documentation).
  3. Experience with various data management tools and processes, including BOD, COD, TSS, and other data metrics.
  4. Leadership experience in managing complex projects and teams.
