The host or hostess greets guests, manages reservations and the waitlist, and seats guests in an organized and fair order. You help keep the front of house running smoothly and make sure guests start and end their visit on a positive note.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, professional welcome
• Manage reservations and walk ins
• Maintain an accurate waitlist and quote realistic wait times
• Seat guests in an efficient and fair order
• Communicate with servers and managers about large parties and special requests
• Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and organized
• Help with simple side work such as menus and wiping surfaces

Requirements

• Available from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on weekdays and weekends
• Weekend availability is required
• Comfortable talking with guests in person and on the phone
• Friendly, professional attitude
• Reliable and on time
• Able to stand and walk for the full shift
• Restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, not required
