Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) – Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation | Kingston of Ashland, OH
Full-Time or Part-Time | On-Site | Ohio OTA License Required
Kingston of Ashland is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you’ll provide therapy services that help residents regain independence in daily living, improve functional skills, and enhance quality of life in a supportive care environment in Ashland, Ohio.
What You’ll Do as an Occupational Therapy AssistantCarry out therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
Assist residents with exercises, self-care training, and adaptive techniques
Document resident progress accurately and report updates to the Occupational Therapist
Educate residents and families on therapy goals and safe practices for continued success at home
Foster a positive, encouraging therapy environment that motivates residents
Ensure therapy services follow Ohio state regulations and Kingston’s quality standards
Active Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license required
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Compassionate, resident-centered mindset
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
