Our client is a highly-rated boutique law firm dedicated to guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging transitions. The firm focuses primarily on matrimonial law , with additional services in family law , bankruptcy, Wills and minor criminal law . They pride themselves on professionalism, compassion, and delivering high-quality legal support.

***MATRIMONIAL LAW EXPERIENCE REQUIRED***

We are seeking a Paralegal with experience in matrimonial law . The ideal candidate is punctual, personable, and professional, with strong technical skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documents.
• Review and interpret bank and credit card statements for financial disclosures.
• Experience with e-filing systems (e.g., NYSCEF or equivalent).
• Handle incoming calls with professionalism and empathy.
• Ability to take new potential client intake
• Experience in completing standard forms
• Maintain client files and case calendars.
• Support attorneys in preparation for hearings, trials, and client meetings.
• Working knowledge of Statement of Net Worth (reading, reviewing, completing)
• Knowledge of billing and completing invoices
• Ability to summarize court orders and other legal documents

Qualifications

• Matrimonial law (required).
• Familiarity with family law procedures
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word ; Experience in Excel .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional image and demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be punctual and reliable .
