Job Title: Payroll Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join a dynamic team in Lexington, KY. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees while maintaining compliance with tax regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain and update payroll records and employee data within the payroll system.
• Prepare and file payroll tax reports in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Generate and manage reports related to prevailing wages and insurance programs as required.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to reconcile payroll, benefits, and deductions.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees with professionalism and clarity.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
• Support audits, year-end reporting, and special payroll projects.
• Evaluate current payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within the construction industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with prevailing wage reporting and insurance program documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both office and field personnel.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Adaptability to manage changing circumstances and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
