What You'll Do:

  • Answer phone calls, handle non-professional inquiries, and connect callers with the appropriate staff.
  • Enter patient data and billing information accurately in the system.
  • Deliver prescriptions to patients while ensuring correct medication is provided and collect payment/signatures.
  • Facilitate prescription counseling by coordinating with the Pharmacist as needed.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory orders to avoid shortages.
  • Verify and organize product orders upon receipt.
  • Regularly check medication expiration dates and manage stock effectively.
  • Process prescription refills and contribute to third-party billing as per regulations.
  • Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Complete various other tasks as assigned to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of pharmacy assistant, office, administrative, patient care, or customer service experience.
  • Must obtain Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment or possess an active Pharmacy Intern License.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is required.
  • Strong verbal and listening skills with a customer-oriented focus.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software systems.
