Structural Metal Fabricator
Pay: $25–$28 per hour
First Shift – 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Long-term temp, possible temp-to-hire

Structural Metal Fabricator Summary:
The Structural Metal Fabricator is responsible for fitting, aligning, and assembling structural steel components such as beams, columns, platforms, supports, and frames. This role requires strong fabrication skills, blueprint interpretation, and the ability to work with large steel sections. The position also involves pipe fitting tasks, including assembling, installing, and maintaining industrial piping systems.

Structural Metal Fabricator Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret structural drawings, fabrication details, piping isometrics, and welding symbols.
• Lay out, cut, fit, and assemble structural components (plate, tubing, flat bar, angle, I-beams).
• Prepare components for welding and ensure proper alignment.
• Perform pipe fitting tasks such as measuring, cutting, threading, fitting, and assembling pipe systems.
• Support welding operations and ensure accurate fit-up for structural and piping assemblies.
• Operate fabrication tools including saws, torches, grinders, drills, and pipe preparation tools.
• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.
• Perform quality checks and verify dimensions according to specifications.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Structural Metal Fabricator Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of structural fitting or metal fabrication experience.
• 2–3+ years of industrial pipe fitting experience.
• Ability to read structural drawings, P&IDs, and AWS/ASME welding symbols.
• Knowledge of fabrication tolerances and industry standards.
• Experience with heavy material handling (cranes, rigging).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
