Position Highlights:

• Competitive pay ranging from $19.39 to $23.76 per hour, dependent on experience, with higher rates for highly qualified candidates.

What You'll Do:

• Handle phone inquiries, providing assistance and connecting callers with the appropriate staff.
• Input patient data and billing information accurately within the system.
• Deliver prescriptions to patients, ensuring they receive the correct medication and obtain necessary signatures.
• Coordinate and assist with prescription counseling as needed by the pharmacist.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to ensure continuity of service.
• Check incoming product orders against invoices, affixing labels and organizing stock appropriately.
• Keep track of medication expiration dates and handle returned medications per state regulations.
• Process prescription refills and verify availability according to state laws.
• Prepare third-party billing forms and liaise with providers for prior authorizations when necessary.
• Adhere to regulations and standards set forth by The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy setting or relevant customer service role.
• Pharmacy Assistant state registration required within 60 days of employment or possess an active Pharmacy Intern License.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, with strong communication skills.
• Ability to perform multiple administrative tasks while maintaining attention to detail and effectiveness.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and at least one pharmacy software system is preferred.

Pre-employment drug screening will be conducted following a conditional offer of employment.
