Job Description

Strategic Resilience Group is currently seeking a series of DOD TS/SCI cleared Linguists and Cultural Advisor candidates with expertise of the culture and languages across the following regions. - Middle East and Central Asia (Arabic, Dahri, Farsi, Russian)
- East, South, Southeast Asia (Mandarin, Mongolian, Tagalog, Korean)
- Central and South America (Spanish, Portuguese, Andean / Caribbean / Central dialects) - Africa (Arabic, French, Portuguese, Swahili, Amharic, Oromo…) As a Cultural Advisor & Linguist you will have the opportunity to:
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on regional political, cultural, socio-economic and influential moderate voices within social media environments. • Translate, interpret and analyze oral and written material such as classified reports, data, briefings and conversations. Provide translation in written or oral form.
• Provide assessments, transcription, translation, interpretation, cultural advisement, and media analysis services to ensure actionable data and products are developed and processed quickly and accurately.
• Provide written translations of source texts in one language into another language, as identified above, with the meaning and intent of the original text (Translations)
• Translate: (1) read and comprehend the languages, (2) write comprehensibly in one of the source languages, and (3) choose the equivalent expression in the Source language that both fully conveys and best matches the meaning intended in the source language (referred to as congruity judgment).
• Comprehend both the source language and English as spoken and written, (2) speak both of these languages, (3) choose an expression in English that fully conveys and best matches the meaning of the source language, (4) have familiarity with the cultural context of both languages, (5) have knowledge of terminology in specialized fields, (6) research in source (Native) languages and write a comprehensive command level information papers in English.
• On an as needed basis participate in Combatant Command, Interagency and Coalitions working groups, and serve as the Operational Cultural advisor expert.
• Provide foreign language interpretation, translation, transliteration & transcription, document exploitation (DOCEX) services
• Provide written and verbal translation of various types of media from target language to source language while maintaining congruity in judgment. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: • Must possess the folloing combinations of civil education and experience... - HS with 14 years of expereince - AS/AA with 10 years of experience - BS/BA with 8 year of experience - MS/MA with 6 years of experience • Subject Matter Expert in understanding regional political, cultural, socio-economic and influential moderate voices within social media environments.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years prior experience working in support of US Armed Forces or US government agencies
• SME shall possess detailed knowledge of the operating environment to include Joint, Combined doctrine as well as target audience nation laws and regulations
• Must possess excellent listening skills with ability to pay attention to minute details and have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly in the English language.
• Must be comfortable providing presentations and working with small and large groups. • US Citizenship with current US Passport with 2 years remaining in validity
• Must have an active DOD Top Secret with SCI eligible clearance Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Political Science, International Studies, Anthropology, Communication or a related field from an accredited and reputable institution.
• A minimum of 4/4/4/ scores or higher in testing scores both in English and a 5/5/5/ in the regional languages / dialects.
• Experience working with Information Operations/ MISO units
• Native regional heritage
• Proven abilities to provide Objective, Unbiased, & Logical cultural advisement.
